Welcome to the web site of our unique Center of Slavic Cultures, which brings together all countries-members of the Forum of Slavic countries (FSC) — Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine. The Center provides library and information services and organizes a variety of cultural events, in particular promoting the FSC projects in Russia.
Our mission is to contribute to the international cooperation development, to ensure access to the Slavic cultural heritage, and to strengthen cultural ties between all Slavs.
The Center’s collection consists of 12,000 printed materials, including original and translated books in all Slavic languages. Here you can read more about our fund.
Every day our Center provides its visitors with events of diverse form and content, both for adults and children of preschool / school age – film screenings, lectures, conversation clubs, master classes, meetings with cultural figures, thematic clubs in all Slavic languages. For creating conditions to serve visitors comfortably the Center’s area is nominally divided in several zones: reception zone, film screening and lecture space, children’s zone, working area, and reading area. The film screening and lecture space is equipped with all the necessary technical stuff for presentations, film screenings, lectures, conferences, and tele bridges. The Center itself has several computers and wireless Wi-Fi.
We are open for you seven days a week: 11:00 a.m. – 08:45 p.m. (weekdays) / 11:00 a.m. – 06:45 p.m. (weekends).
